With the addition of the KMV-50D we are now able to produce orders with quantities that far surpass our past production abilities. We have had the machine running at over 30 cycles per minute which is very fast compared the older ones running at somewhere in the order of 8 cycles per minute. Another factor that you have to take into account is the fact that when the trays come out of the end of the Keifel, that’s it, just straight into a box unlike production on the other machines where it has to that be sent manually through a cutting station. Also because the trays are produced and packed in a very small period, they are exposed for less time.

At the moment there are only a few moulds for the new machine but more and more will become available as time goes on and we get to the point where for some products it would be much more cost effective to have them run in the new higher speed machine.
